Pharma-X Point Of Use Tube Heat Exchangers

For quick and easy installation, the Pharma-X is supplied as a complete module with a pitot tube arrangement for installation in the water system. Installed in water system, Pharma-X can be regarded as a sub-loop of the main water system loop. The Pharma-X is suitable for cooling of products intended for the pharmaceutical industry, mainly water For Injection (WFI) and Purified Water (PW). If needed, the Pharma-X is easy to clean and can be manually steam sterilized.

STANDARD DESIGN AND CONFIGURATION
The Pharma-X point-of-use cooler is an innovative tube-in-tube design. It is designed with focus on the hygienic standards and the Pharma-X is fully drainable on the product side. There are no dead legs in the Pharma-X module and all product wetted parts in the Pharma-X are electropolished. The Pharma-X pitot tube arrangement ensures that throttling valves are not needed at every sub-loop, significantly reducing the total pressure drop of the water system. The Pharma-X is available in four different standard models; TT311, TT3151, TT312 and TT3152. These are supplied as compete modules or as standalone heat exchangers. The module comes with heat exchanger, pitot tube, valves, tubes and fittings for an easy installation in the main-loop. Within the standard configurations there are many different options to select among, as example pneumatic or manual point of use valve, sizes and standards (ASME BPE, ISO2037, ISO1127 etc.) of the clamp connections.

STAND-BY MODE
The design of pitot tube arrangement [1] ensures that the product is kept circulating in the point of use cooler even in stand-by mode. With continuous circulation in the heat exchanger, it is possible to avoid draining and thereby keeping the water loop closed towards the environment. The sub loop is kept sanitized. COOLING MODE
For cooling of water for injection, turn the air switch [4] from stand-by mode to cooling mode, the cooling water valve [3] will automatically switch on and the recirculation valve close [2]. Open the point of use valve [5] and cold water for injection is available within seconds.

The Pharma-X is delivered along with a standard documentation including drawings, material certificates, instruction manual, pressure test report, WPS, WPQ, weldlog etc.
